Working with Mother and Doctor for a Healthy Delivery

Twins, Triplets, Multiple Gestation

Multiple gestation, while exciting, is associated with increased risks during pregnancy. Your obstetrician may refer you to RPG for consultation with one of our maternal-fetal medicine specialists. The doctors at RPG will evaluate your pregnancy and make suggestions to your obstetrician as to the best management plan for your pregnancy. You may continue to follow with the doctors at RPG throughout your pregnancy.

Some of the associated risks of multiple gestation include:

  • Preterm labor/birth
  • Preeclampsia
  • Intrauterine growth restriction
  • Twin to twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS)
  • Gestational diabetes
